Constructive Reflection in Relationships

This mental model focuses on learning and growing from past experiences and relationships through contemplation and thoughtful analysis.
Constructive reflection is a mental model that requires individuals to look back on their past relationships and experiences, evaluate the outcomes, uncover the lessons learned, and use these insights to improve future interactions and relationships. For example, if someone experienced a break-up due to poor communication, they can reflect on this, identify the patterns or actions that led to the failure in communication, and consciously improve these aspects in future relationships.
We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience - John Dewey
