SMART Goals Framework

The SMART Goals Framework is a mental model for setting clear, achievable goals. It involves making goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
The SMART Goals Framework can greatly improve confidence by creating a clear path towards any goal. For instance, if a person's goal is to lose weight, a SMART goal could be 'I will lose 10 pounds in the next 3 months by exercising for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week, and maintaining a healthy diet.' Each element of the goal is specific and measurable, making it easier to track progress and celebrate accomplishments. Achieving goals incrementally reinforces belief in one's capabilities, improving confidence over time.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. - Michelangelo Buonarroti
